Lara Jean Covey, Peter Kavinsky and the whole gang are back as To All The Boys 2: P.S. I Still Love You premieres on Netlflix today.
Now, I’ve never hosted a watch-party before but I’m hugely excited to host a TATBILB party this week. If you, like me, are a fan of the books and the first movie, and would also like to host a viewing party, then check out my ideas below (and be sure to share anything that I may have missed!).
Food
As has been pointed out to me, the movie doesn’t show a lot of food (minus pizza and carrot sticks), but the books have plenty of food mentioned.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Lara Jean loves baking, especially chocolate chip cookies, so your party definitely needs a batch straight out of the oven! For those feeling experimental, try making Peter K’s favourite fruit cake cookies.
Pocky Sticks
I had no idea what these were until I Googled them. They’re basically the half-coated biscuit sticks; the most popular being chocolate. I found some matcha pocky sticks, which Lara Jean would most certainly approve of.
Pizza
Every party needs pizza, but none more so than a TATBILB viewing party!
Frozen Yoghurt
Mentioned (and eaten) many times in both the books and the movies.
Carrot Sticks
Lara Jean carries these as her school snack in a little plastic pouch in the first movie. Hand out little pouches of carrot sticks to all your friends for a healthy, cute and relevant watch-party snack.
And of course…Korean Yoghurt Drinks
These drinks are constantly mentioned in the books and the movies. In fact, when TATBILB first came out on Netflix, most stores completely sold out of these drinks due to its sudden popularity. But luckily, they’re back in stores now, so stock up on all the Yakult you can before fans buy them all out again!
Activities
Baking
As mentioned already, LJ loves to bake. From snickerdoodles, to chai tea cookies, there’s plenty of inspiration in every book.
Hair braiding
Throughout the books, and a couple of times in the movie, LJ begs her little sister to braid her hair. Make the Song sisters proud with your own braided styles.
Korean face masks
Also mentioned numerous times in the book, these treats are a wonder for the skin!
Nail painting
Another Song sister activity to enjoy. Plus, you’ll have plenty of time to let them dry whilst you enjoy the movie.
Writing letters
This is essentially what the whole story is about. You can have cute, decorative papers and fun pens too!
Dress Code
Each character in TATBILB has such a unique sense of style. Have each of your guests come dressed as their favourite character; there are plenty of outfits to choose from! If you want to be Lara Jean, make sure to wear your favourite scrunchie, whilst Peter Ks must be sure to wear something sporty, and Kittys; don’t forget your round glasses and quirky hairstyles!
