Can you believe it’s already December? Just another few weeks before this year (and decade) is over! But before that, it’s time to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, it’s almost Christmas! Time to celebrate the birth of the Saviour with family, friends, food, presents and general merriment.

To celebrate, each week leading up to the big day, I will be posting Christmas-related content starting with this week’s theme: Christmas music.

Yup, that’s right, Christmas wouldn’t be complete without Christmas tunes. From classic carols to contemporary hits, this post rounds up my personal favourite Christmas albums. Enjoy…!

Michael Bublé Christmas – Michael Bublé

Michael Bublé is almost synonymous with Christmas music, and you cannot have a good Christmas playlist without a song – or three – by him.

Glee: The Christmas Album Volume Two – Glee Cast

Glee has a number of Christmas albums, but volume two is my personal favourite. The album features fun and harmonious covers of hits such as ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’, ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ and my personal favourite, ‘Christmas Wrapping’.

Under The Mistletoe – Justin Bieber

When everyone caught “Bieber Fever” for the first time back in 2009, I thankfully missed it. I wasn’t a fan of his, that is until I heard this Christmas album. The album features some great originals, including the eponymous track, ‘Under the Mistletoe’, as well as covers with a twist. The album also features some big names such as, Boys II Men and the queen of Christmas number ones, Mariah Carey.

The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection – Taylor Swift

Long before Taylor Swift was the household name she is now, she had a not-so-famous Christmas album. My personal favourite song on the album is an original called, ‘Christmas Must Be Something More’; well worth a listen, as are all her songs.

In addition to the songs on these albums, I also love Leona Lewis’ single, ‘One More Sleep’, as well as Lea Michele’s version of ‘O Holy Night’, and of course Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’. The list of awesome Christmas tunes goes on and on!
