With Christmas just a little over a month away (where has the time gone?!) I have rounded up some super fun and festive spots to visit this month. From the classic Winter Wonderland, to watching Christmas movies on an Island, here is a list of my top 5:
Neighbourhood Cinema’s Frozen Island
This month, Neighbourhood Cinema is launching Frozen Island – a pop-up venue for lovers of Christmas movies (and who doesn’t love a good Christmas movie?). Every Sunday from 11 November until 27 January, families can watch movies such as Elf, The Santa Clause, and Frozen during the afternoon showings, whilst adults can enjoy screenings of movies such as Love Actually, The Holiday, and the not-so-Christmassy Die Hard during the 8.30pm shows. The magical winter paradise in Covent Garden will be full of frosted palm trees, icicles, snowflakes and giant snow globes. Islanders can enjoy frozen cocktails (or mocktails) and popcorn, as well as gourmet Christmas sliders and other hot dishes. Neighbourhood Cinema has produced some hugely successful immersive cinematic experiences, and this is sure to be their next hit.
Date: 11 November-27 January
Winterville
The winter-themed adventure park growing in popularity is back for another winter in Clapham Common. Winterville 2018 will be packed with more entertainment and activities than ever before, and is guaranteed to get people of all ages in the festive spirit. With a Christmas labyrinth, a circus, an ice-rink, festive films at the Backyard Cinema, delicious street-food pop-ups and so much more, this is one winter experience that should not be missed.
Date: 15 November-23 December
Winter Wonderland
The iconic Winter Wonderland is back at Hyde Park for another year of fun, food and festive treats. Lose yourself in the array of Christmas markets, treat yourself to indulgent hot chocolate, learn a new trade with an ice-sculpting workshop, and find your inner-child on one of the many rides. Whatever you choose to do in wonderland, you’re sure to leave feeling fantastically festive.
Date: 22 November-6 January
Winter Chalet
A new season at Fest Camden means a new menu, new decor, and plenty of new highlights. The warming winter wonderland will consist of hot food, including Alpine pizza and comforting classic pies, and sweet treats such as toffee apples and rich hot chocolate. In addition to this, there will be Christmas movies on the big screen, festive tunes, and plenty of fun.
Date: 1 November-Mid-January
Hot Chocolate
I don’t know about you, but this winter, all I want to do is have hot chocolate in abundance. Some places that do unbelievable hot chocolate include: Aritsan in Notting Hill and Hotel Chocolat in Covent Garden and White City. Both cafes are well worth checking out if you’re feeling indulgent.
Date: Anytime
